Our Journey
2018-2019
While concentrating on solutions for rising farm costs, C-Loop's founders recognised a predictable and reliable Bioenergy feedstock was available. Development of a scalable business model to capture this resource began.
2020-2021
C-Loop started working with RMIT University looking at various sources of waste across regional Victoria to identify pathways to achieve the scale. This process identified diversified products that would underpin our Biorefinery concept.
C-Loop then partnered with Murdoch University with research focused on the cultivation of micro algae, closing out the remaining aspects of the Biorefinery model to deliver further value.
2022-2023
With a defined business model formed, C-Loop set about securing the foundational projects we now see today at Gippsland and Bendigo.
2024-2025
Planning applications for the foundational projects were activated, and with commitments from credible offtake partners the company secured commercial bank finance to progress the projects to a shovel ready state. C-Loop's IP is registered supporting the projects to proceed with full permits in hand.
2026 and beyond
C-Loops projects will begin operations, with further projects under development to come!
Opportunities Beyond Biorefineries
C-Loop’s intellectual property has global application across existing bioenergy and wastewater treatment assets seeking sustainable solutions to deal with the waste byproducts they produce. “With global application, the C-Loop model can transform how existing energy and waste infrastructure are managed, transforming assets from linear processing streams to a fully circular Biorefineries. These solutions lead to a more sustainable asset base longer term.
